You hear a lot about this buildings true status as a super tall, but when you look at pictures like these (I know you have to count for spacial perspective) it is very tall.

for those who want to now current height!.
The top floor is 270m/885ft high.
The steel frame for the angled top section is slowing rising and will eventually reach 288m/944ft.
so another 18m/60ft to go.
then the wind turbine will reach 292m/960ft
and massive spire 1200ft/366m which everyone obviously knows by now.
it will be 2nd highest structure in NYC.

This building is a 100% steel structure, isn´t it?

Is there any part of the building´s structure, like the core, made of concrete?

Yes it does have a core, but it lags behind the steel. Here in NY we build things backwards. ANd Culwalla i believe this one has topped out crown wise. You cant see it in that picture but the crown has reached its apex. (WNY has pictures of the crown).
