^Yeah, neither am I. It's not bad or anything, but it looks better in the renderings. I don't liek how it's like "frosted" (for lack of a better term) on the tops...

the boa facade doesnt seem to have the same effect to me, the top window is frosted and the bottom is clear, not blended. I think once the construction dust is cleaned off the windows theyll look much flashier.

i know this sounds like a stupid question but what is the netting to the left of the building?

Otherwise i think the building is awsome. Somethin that should be done elsewhere but started in new york, like everything great right?

It's a golf/driving range and is part of the Chelsea Piers sports complex.

go to the NYTimes one you can see it in there. its getting very high, probably up to 20 floors.

I guess this is the only option that would make Gehry Downtown Tower looks atlease more than 1% better.

I was in NY over the weekend and im wondering, when will they start the tower portion. I was at the library for a couple hrs

They have started the tower portion, the base is only the first 6 floors towards the middle of the block.

The tower portion is on its way up, thats the highest part of the construction you see, its about 6 floors right now. it has a concrete core.

wow thats alot of progress last time I was in that neighborhood was in early june and it was just a small skeleton.

Yeah id say its definitely full steam ahead now. The highest point on the building structure will be 945', there will be 2 spires, one is wind turbine that reaches 960 i believe, and the other is architectural at 1,200'.

building coverd with glass is nice.

By the way,I am watching ellen show on TV, she is broadcasting live from central park.
Nice to see Beyonce in central park NYC. lol
today is Beyonce's birthday! I did not know that.
