They should put an observation deck at the top of the spire, that would be an awsome place to view from

DECEMBER 14, 2007

More photos, from the Top of the Rock observation deck (shot blindly,
so the quality is poor). The line of spires is amazing. We need at least
one more between the Empire and Chrysler to complete the vision.

I just check Emporis, they added it to their tallest list so that must mean it's T/O!!!

It is topped out, but these pictures by NYGuy were taken before the last peice of the spire (which is over 50 feet long) was installed.

You are not the first one to say it and it has already been discussed before.
So you added nothing new, try again.

Oh no, NY is building three buildings with spires. That's clearly way too many.

How about some cheese to go with your whine?

BoA's spires are pretty darn amazing. Up yours if you don't like them.

No I was not, but WiredNewYork extensively covered the topping out in pictures. Start here: http://www.wirednewyork.com/forum/sh...=3548&page=180

The reason I know he took these pictures before it was topped out is because the supports around the pole in the spire design is still above the actual pole (the pole rises outside of the supports or w/e you want to describe them as).
