For better esthetics I would have preferred the spire to be half the height, but still it looks more proportioned that what the render suggested.

When I was last year in NYC this building was just some 10 storeys tall, and it's nice to see it topped out and that they weren't messing around with the construction process (unlike some other tower we all know...)

NY is great. Most spires are not. That's my opinion. Should I stuff anything up my bowels to please you dear Sir?

Spires are great! And i think make buildings appear a lot more beautiful and tall. I wouldn't say "geez"!

Yeah, a spire. Maybe then you'll have respect for them.

you must really hate chicago then. they're building a structure that is purely a 2000ft spire with no building.

I'm also one of those "roof-heighters", but whether the spire height is a cheat or not takes nothing away from this building.

Whatever happened to Carlos? One of the best contributors ever.

Are they still going to erect the wind turbine? I thought I saw a stub around the spot it was supposed to be in a pic a few pages back, but I haven't seen it in any pictures since.

I think the spire on this looks brilliant. It finishes off the building very well IMO, although I think it would look even better if it was stainless steel rather than white.

Such a great tower. And I like the new cladding on the Verizon building.
