Heey, join the club. I've been in the same situation quite a few months ago. We had some "arguments" cuz I dared to say something negative about "The-Holy-And-The-Best-Country-In-The-World" USA. The conversation would've been just fine if there weren't any insults. Not sure if it was anything personal, and don't care, but anyway u're not the only one

This tower looks much better when built. First I was a little bit sceptic but to see this T/O, it's not that bad at all. I like the one side which seems to be sliced a bit. What's the area called where the EmpireSB and this are standing?

Let's put an end to this:
You wrote that "You're fat" post. It's a childish and totally unconstructive comment. BUT!! You noticed it yourself in following sentence you typed. Therefore you proved being conscious of making a stupid remark which then helped turning the tone of the overall post as humorous; you proved you were aware of making a dumb comment but went for it anyway, therefore you showed 'self-derision' in not taking yourself seriously. That's good, and a lot of teenager would have simply typed: "You're mom's fat!" So, good point for you.

NYGirl went ape shit and took the whole thing totally wrong (I think...). She's probably in the middle of the 'special week' (God!! I am so gonna be banned for such a cheap shot!!!)

Hope this clarifies it all.

Back to the topic now...

Yes, the photo's are spactacular, thanks for posting. In one of the shot's, you got my favorite of ALL skyscraper's, the American Radiator building, by my all time favorite architect, Raymond Hood.

Whom I consider the father of art deco, (but i gotta throw in Sloan & Robertson, and Channin.)

Wow. Somehow I never realized there are so many different looking towers in New York, as stupid as is sounds. What's the twin tower about in the middle of the picture? The bluish one with classy facade. That looks fantastic. I didn't know there are still some twins there.

The blue twins....it is the Time Warner Center at Columbus circle on the south west corner of the Central Park.....

Finally after a long time of boring buildings beeing built , NYC gets ones they are worth standing in this city...I have the feeling after 911 the city takes more care about designs of buildings then before....I have never seen a periode where this city gets so much beautiful buildings than now. (opinions can differ)

but IMO the Bofa tower has the wrong location in the skyline its to hidden by the Conde Nast building...and the new green facade of the Verizon bldg inflicts very well with the buildings built around Times Square.

BTW a question: is still the so called "zoning law" active in NYC?

i hope you understand my question....
