It's been a few years since I was last in New York I can't wait to visit there again someday. So many great U/C and soon to be completed projects! BTW that last picture was fantastic! Good Angle!

Yes they have the same accent but ironically nowadays those in the suburbs have more of the original New York accent than even the people in the city itself. Many of the native New Yorkers have moved to the suburbs and the new people to the city come from other parts of the country.

I think Conde Nast's was used as an antenna after 9/11. BofA's has potential to be really nice depending on how the crown turns out. And NYT's spire just looks weak. But I don't really mind them.

Neither do I. Maybe we'll be a play on the Moscow icon eventually, with what's starting to look like "seven spires".

I can't wait until it opens. The inside ground-level plan has been written up as nothing short of spectacular. A great new public space for the Times Square district. At any rate, great PR for the monolithic Bank of America.

Really, the NYT tower is the only one with a really out of place spire. As someone said, Conde Nast's spire replaced the one from the WTC, and the Bank of America tower's spire blends in with the building. I think it looks elegant.

Spires rule, they make the building look more dominant.

I head that most of hte building will be occupied by BoA. is that true?

Also, with more spires, couldn't one argue this would help both cell phone and radio reception signals?

Hehe, I dont want to be a snarky butthead... but ponder who might be the biggest tenant in the Bank Of America Tower...

And don't try to throw the crap in my face that Chrysler no longer occupies the Chrysler Building, or that Sears no longer occupies the Sears tower. They did at one point, hence how the buildings got their names

These shots are worthy to be quoted on this new page.
Is that insulation or something they are putting on the top of BofA?
