Hey all, I just flew back from Buffalo, NY since I just finished the school year up there into JFK

Unfortunately my camera was dead so I couldn't take a picture, but we flew right over midtown and I had an awesome view of this tower from my window - what an impression its making on the skyline, even from a couple thousand feet up! It's unique design really made it easily spot-able, I saw the shadow from the angled part on the west side against the vertical - amazing.

So glad it's almost done.

the verizon building is where it's always been. It just a little harder to see while the BOA building right next to it and the face change and all that.

I believe that the turbine was actually cut out very early in the project because either there aren't sufficient winds for it to produce any real electricity or they had an issue with ConEd who doesn't like it when buildings impliment energy saving methods.

Here are a few pics from kz1000ps from wirednewyork (thank you :-)

The glass still needs to arrive in the front part of the crown. But they are still working principally in the internal part of the building to deliver all the available office space. So just some patience and also the external part will be completed. Slowly this jewel will shine.

The tower is looking better and better!
At the time, when the first glass arrived, I had my doubts. But now as nearly all glass is installed, it looks really good. And I thing it will be looking more great, when the tower is finished and life comes into this building.

The best compliment I can pay this building is that it would fit in superbly into the Hong Kong skyline.

(Then again, that doesn't always hold true. Empire State, Chrysler and many others would not fit into the HK skyline and they're absolutely fantastic buildings, but yea, you know what I mean...)

Actually these pics were taken yesterday, the part of the crown that is covered is on the other side, and you can't see it in these pictures. The side is the one in the 7th and 8th shot, but the glass is almost invisible since the sun is directly behind it. But if you pay attention you can see there is something there
