YelloPerillo,
Yes, of course, but that couldn't be Taihu Lake in the Suzhou CBD rendering, right?

z0rg,
It's Suzhou, ok! But where is the CBD in the rendering located? The modern blocks that today's CBD consists of is located just west of the square canal that surrounds SUzhou's old town. I'm not sure if the CBD in the rendering is the same one as the present CBD - but I don't recall seeing a lake in that area!
Do you have a picture of the Gate of the Orient tower? Thanks!

280m

That CBD is located next to Jinji lake, I confirmed it.

Thank you very much, z0rg! I thought "Gate of the Orient" was another tower already built, but now I remember it from your rendering. It looks great!

I looked it up in Google Earth, and the "CBD" I was referring to is not the one by Jinji lake! I had no idea they are planning a CBD there. Isn't that area very undeveloped today? Looks awesome in the rendering nonetheless.

Jinji lake and Xi Lake looks very similar in size in Google Earth!

Hm, so many huge approved towers from China remain unknown even in this forum! It is amazing how little coverage have the Chinese projects. I think I'll post a +300m projects compilation of all China Mainland. There are dozens of proposed or approved supertall projects in more than 15 cities.

Yeah, considering that people shit their pants when a 250-300m building is proposed in the US or Europe - I think China deserves such a thread!

Isn┤t there something like a SSC in China?

When i was in Beijing i saw a guy taking pics of the WTC3 site. I can`t imagine that there is no skyscraper fanpage in China.
Come on you have around 130million internet user.

Sorry dude, but my knowledge about China's projects and developments is very limited despite of my obsessive collectionism of renders and pictures, can't answer your doubt.

z0rg,
I'm only judging by the images from Google Earth! The whole area surrounding Jinji Lake looks very undeveloped!

Skyscrapers.cn, good one. Only in Chinese, of course

There are some others as well, that's why China's projects may remain so uncovered here and in other international skyscraper forums, they have their own forums where they don't have to us such a different language from theirs. Skyscraperpage has a top quality coverage of Shanghai projects though.

BTW, I know that many Chinese avoid international forums too, it must be annoying that you can not open a thread about your country without seeing an ignorant legion of western chauvinists bashing about Falun Gong, Tibet, etc.

Lol! Ever seen pics of Pudong in 1990? Shenzhen in 1980? Come on, remember that this is the booming China, where in ten years cities get built taller and greater than western ones in ten centuries

BTW, to be honest, I have not idea where Jinji lake is. Too many lakes in Suzhou. I tryed to find a map of Suzhou in google to find out which lake is the Jinji so that I could check the area with google earth but I still haven't got it...

The reason mainly is that many foreign people don't understand chinese when browsing chinese forums while not too many chinese people are good at English as well. Simple!

I don't think it's hypocritical, you a generalising and this is actually just your opinion, what I was meaning is that nobody is innocent, and maybe china should find something to spew shit about and then we'll be equal.
