And visit Newcastle and see it's old and new architecture before speaking, and don't bother telling me to visit Dubai before making comments because the buildings their are paraded around like something not right, unlike Newcastle. We have amazing Georgian architecture, really don't need bland skyscrapers like what Dubai has to offer. You know what I can't be bothered with this crap anymore, I only posted my opinion, which is infact what alot of people I have seen think.
unlike you mate i am prepared to admit my local town is a shit hole... in fact its Stockport not Manchester, and all we have is a big brick bridge, and a small glass pyramid. All surrounded by lots of scallies and disused factories. Manchester has some amazing architecture, but only since they had the 2002 commonwealth games, the city has changed significantly. Personally i do like the hilton tower, but mostly from really far away, you can see it from the fields behind my house over 20 miles away!

Nothing in newcastle has ever caught my eye, and i have been there before you start. Ive not been to dubai, so maybe you're right about them, but personally i find modern architecture and highrises more appealing than georgian lowrises.
