I'm not liking the parking podium, but I love the tower as a whole. It'll look great.

I don't like that parking podium either....is this gonna be another fortress? I really hope retail is incorporated into this project...actually, it should be incorporated into every new project built.

I know downtown Glendale from downtown LA after 32 years here. Check the other properties below the DTLA one. |

Looks amazing, hope it gets built but I doubt it seriously. The market has peaked and there is just too much new residential to absorb in DTLA, either recently completed or being built . Developers (and banks) are taking a breath at the moment.

LA needs to take a breather in 2015 before the LA Olympics only. Right now is the time to build...build...build in Downtown....

you know...as much as I want L.A. to continue building, I would like it to slow down a little bit...maybe prices will go down somewhat? when i move back, I really wish I could afford to live in downtown - not downtown "adjacent" like realtors say...you know, like "Pacoima, it's close to downtown"-
a realtor would say that

It's going to give a nice skyline outisde DLA next to 1100 W. How long do you think 'till it's finished?

I notice the frontage of the lower levels along Wilshire Blvd. is set back farther than the building directly to the west (which is 1055 Wilshire, I think -- a building that looks like it's not going to disappear anytime soon). Perhaps the extra pedestrian space is a good thing. But I hope there is some sort of plan for a new, consistent "street wall", as additional development occurs in this area. I hope this is not simply an isolated "nature bandaid" to appease possible opponents. Generally, I don't like the erratic setbacks we have throughout the city, because they make the city look unplanned.
