Aqui estan algunas fotos de edificios construidos en la Ciudad de Caracas, Capital de Venezuela
3.000.000 h aprox.

Torre Shell (vendido ultimamente)

Torre Este (antes de la quemazon). Aqui trabaje varios años en la Direccion de Vialidad Rural y vi el desarrollo del Caracazo desde el ultimo piso.

Torre Parque Canaima (esta es una foto vieja ya que aun era la sede de la desaparecida TELCEL)

If you think of it, not speaking a second language is a widespread trend among those countries where the local language is an important one. Just like in the US most of Americans can't speak a second language, same happens in Latin America... something similar happens in Spain, France or the UK (same reason).

It's not that I think that's good or an example to follow, it's just an explanation In my opinion, the more languages you can speak, the better!

Como les prometi continuo colocando nuevas fotos de Edificaciones de caracas. En este caso casi todos son edificaciones oficiales: sede de Ministerios, colegios publicos, etc.


UNEFA Chuao (Antiguo edificio de PDVSA ubicado en la Urb. Chuao)


Instituto Universitario de Caracas


Antiguo edificio del Banco Union ahora sede de los Ministerios de Comunicacion e Informacion y de Ciencia y Tecnologia.


Sede del Banco Central de Venezuela




Centro de Operaciones del Metro de Caracas


Ministerio de Educacion

It surprises me to see how many American corporations have their logos on Caracas high-rises. Nice images of a city rarely seen by the "West".

....Actually the logos are from US, UK, Spanish, Dutch, and Venezuelan companies

Dos iconos de la ciudad

Estos son dos iconos de la Ciudad de Caracas: Las Torres del Silencio y Parque Central.


Torres del Silencio: Durante muchos años fue el icono que representaba a la ciudad. Fueron construidas en los años 50.


El nuevo icono de la Ciudad: Parque Central. En este momento la Torre Este se encuentra en reparaciones por el incendio de Octubre de 2004.

Creo qué muchos ciudades sonos 'pareil'. I have had it a bit with all these cities looking the same. Caracas, Dallas, Santiago, Berlin, Bogota, Brussels, Milan. London, Rotterdam......all have the same mid- and highrises.
Gets a bit annoying...

Yes, it like all the medieval cities in Europe...all the same scheme with the walls, the church, and/or the castle...what a bore...!
