Yeh its looking good from what I've seen. It was in a dire state when I walked past it to the courts.

That is looking good. I like the vertical lettering, which I presume is going to say Cannon House, down the right hand side.

There looks to be enough space to say "Cannon & Ball"

The externals have been done quickly haven't they?

I was very surprised at how quick the exterior had been done. They must have had little armies of immigrant workers hard at it all night. That might explain the use of sheets.

Nice clear pic MJH

It is a shame that corner window isn't curved. Minor detail, but would have been nice!

I noticed it too, but curved glass especially up to building regs standard is heller expensive, Even the glass on Rotunda will be flat.

I thought Rotunda was curvy

i-land manages to be curvy (although that will disappear if it is D&B and the Client wants the saving...)

Nope the Rotunda glass will be flat. It wont detract from the image. If it was curvy then the curve would be very subtle.

Curved custom made glass is too expensive. A normal pane of glass like that will cost a few thousand, curved glass will cost tens of thousands each.

That's a separate building which is not included in this refurbishment. I think they plan to do it later, but they have the option of adding extra floors so perhaps they plan to do that to the other one. Both buildings were actually built as flatted warehouse/factories so I suspect they are of sufficiently robust construction to take the extra weight of the new floors. All supposition though as I'm not privy to their plans.

I love it. They are really working on this stretch of road. They are trying to attract business down into Eastside so they are turning alot of buildings in that area into offices. I read somewhere they were trying to make an "office highway"...
