i mean Dubai Marina will be ready by 2009 except the supertalls.

same goes for Festival City, JLT, Downtown, parts of DIFC, not sure about the metro.

maybe half of JLT towers (the one that can be seen rising right now) will be completed by mid 2008... the rest whcih havent even started ground work (there are plenty) will not be done by 2010

because it is realistic.

i do think JLT will be mainly ready by 2009, some towers, those who did not start construction obviously won't. but that's it.

big difference between "ready" and "mainly ready". Also check the JLT map, about 50% of the towers are not even off the ground yet. Therefore, "mid 2008" is not a realistic date.

I added a few of the new projects... will continue the new ones. But I just want to review the projects currently due to finish in 2006 and 2007. Since we're close, predicting those is easier.

Royal Mall will be moved later... I believe Thuraya 2 finished earlier than expected.

So, do you agree/disagree that the following will be finished in the next 6 months:

-Etisalat Tower 2
-The Monarch Hotel & Convention Centre
-Emirates Marina Serviced Apts & Spa
-BurJuman Office Tower & Hotel
-Discovery Gardens
-The World Reclamation

Commenting on the ones I know:
-Etisalat Tower 2: They should, about time they finished this tower
-The Monarch Hotel & Convention Centre: Yes
-Emirates Marina Serviced Apts & Spa: Yes
-BurJuman Office Tower & Hotel: Yes

-Ras Al Khor Bridge: Should be completed by Feb '07
-Park Place: Exteriors yeah, but I reckon it will take a while to fully furnish and have the building fully operational
-JBR: It should, but for such a huge project I guess some parts of it might lag behind
-Palm Jumeirah Phase 1: It should... Behind schedule already

We should have a discussion not on completion dates but on how much delay each project will realistically have. I swear dubai runs on a seperate clock then the rest of the world.
