Also Mr Addy says he want's to know what Mr Sheards plans for the club are. Well I'd love to know what Mr Addys plans for the club are after all he was on the board for over 20 years until having to resign in disgrace, and is now just an owner of 10% of the clubs shares.

My Addy wants to see his plans, sounds reasonable but can't he ask Sheard, if seems like he's expecting Sheard to have an answer to every question. Wednesdayite members will know within 24hrs whether they are going to go to ballot on the offer, if so they will recieve their ballot papers with information about Sheards plans.

It can't. We are the walking wounded, administration would not even kill us at the moment - we aren't invincible but we have had so much bad management the 'worse' thing in football [administration] could even make the club better even at this stage.

Geoff Sheard will get Wednesdays unleashed again like 15 years ago, like he said. 'Sleeping Giant' is a term often used for Wednesday, his plans will wake up the giant. The businessman isn't going to let wednesday lose money.

At the moment, we cannot compete. We are a car without fuel, we are going nowhere! If we go back we will get fuel and move onwards in the end, if we get the AA [GS] to come, fuel will be supplied and we will go forward.

Why does it sound resonable, Mr Addy is not a director of SWFC anymore, I repeat my question. As a major shareholder in SWFC what are Mr Addys plans for the football club and in taking it forward and be able to compete in the division we are in.

Or is he just not happy with the price being offered for his little nest egg, any amount he receives in my opinion is far to much for a failing business that has been run like a rudderless ship for the last 15 years.

I would have thought it was rather obvious. Addey wants more information whats reasonable to ensure wednesday are ensured a bright future. However, DA's sale should indicate how good GS is and how serious he is. If he's impressed Allen, he should impress Addy.

BlockBig boost for Abbeydale Tennis Club

In July 2008, the bulldozers moved in to Abbeydale Tennis Club in Sheffield to start £1m of improvement work to turn it into a centre of excellence for the sport.

Wimbledon may be over, but the search for tennis stars of the future hasn't stopped at Abbeydale Tennis Club in Sheffield.

Thanks to £1m from the Lawn Tennis Association, the club is upgrading its facilities with the aim of becoming one of the leading tennis centres in Yorkshire.

The bulldozers and cement mixers moved in in early July 2008 to prepare the ground for a new state of the art tennis 'dome' which will house two additional indoor courts. The existing outdoor courts will also be resurfaced.
But the current clubhouse will be demolished to make way for a bigger building with disabled access, improved changing rooms and better refreshment facilities.

John Gledden, head coach at Abbeydale Tennis Club, said: “This will not only improve the number of indoor courts in South Yorkshire, but by having an excellent tennis centre on our doorstep, we hope to inspire and develop more young people to become the next Rafael Nadal."

Former tennis professional, David Sherwood, learned his skill at Abbeydale and went on to play at Wimbledon and alongside Andy Murray in the Davis Cup. He's now one of the coaches at the club, looking out for stars of the future.
It's hoped the work on the courts will be finished by September 2008, and the new clubhouse is due to open at Christmas. Meanwhile, the existing indoor courts will still be available for use.

It all sounds like great news, and if it can do for Tennis in Sheffield what the World Academy has done for Snooker, Sheffield will truly be a city of sport!
