- The building will consist of a 34 floor tower on top of a 9 story podium
The new tower will be located on the southwest corner of Wellington and Simcoe Streets, across from Roy Thomson Hall. RBC and RBC Dexia together will lease 410,000 square feet for a 15-year term.

Parking lot is closed as of today and will start in unison with Ritz Carlton.

great news that construction is starting so soon! any news on the Ritz-Carlton?

edit: guess it says construction starts in unison with the RC...wicked

It will be a welcome addition! I'm excited!

And by the way, I think it's awesome that we have a photo of the "Lot Closed" sign because that means we will have updates from the VERY beginning, right down to the end of its construction.

Do we know roughly when it will be completed or look completed?

Sometime in 2009 but i'm not sure about the exact month. Don't credit me with the lot closed photo by the way, I just saw it posted in the Toronto forum.

i wouldnt doubte that it will look completed in late 2007/early 2008. 2009 is the occupancy date.

For those not aware...RBC is also building their U.S. headquarters tower in Raleigh, NC. Scheduled to break ground in September. At 31 floors and 530' tall, It will become Raleigh's new tallest.

I have been by the lot a few times now, but nothing seems to have changed- not trying to be impatient..just would like to see this start.

That building in Raleigh is going to be brutal...nothing more to say than that..

Looks great. I cannot wait to see these babies rise. Let's just ignore the stupid comments and look forward to our city's world class skyline.

I think the podium makes the bulding look smaller but I do like the design of the podiums for both RBC and Ritz.

This is truely a mystery project....there are so many conflicting reports on the height...is it 41, is it 48 or is it 51....no one knows
