Architecture of Ikea

Post pictures of Ikea in your city/country! I've seen some unique Ikea stores and considering that all these countries have Ikea it would be a neat thing to see the pics from around the World.

Countries that have Ikea
Sweden
Canada
USA
Australia
UK
Russia
Spain
Portugal
Italy
France
Belgium
Netherlands
Germany
Denmark
Greece
Turkey
Poland
Switzerland
Austria
Czech Republic
Norway
Finland
Slovakia
Hungary
Saudi Arabia
UAE
Kuwait
Israel
China
Japan
Taiwan
Malaysia
Singapore

Countries that will have an Ikea
Romania
Ireland
Cyprus

Not the best photo but this is the only one I could get for the one I shop at.

I love Ikea. The one I "frequent" is the world's largest, apparentlly (Wembley). They all look pretty much the same though. Big Blue box with yellow trim.

I go to the same Ikea as you do Marcanadian if that is the Sheppard location. In fact that Ikea is a 5 minute drive from my house.

Edit: I found some pictures of Ikea HK:

The one at 2 miles from I live was actually one of the first outside Sweden (Duiven, the second in NL) but I don't give a toss. The good thing about it was that it made people caring increasingly more about genuine furniture. Specialist furniture stores perform better than when IKEA opened its stock department store around 25 years ago.

I was so happy when they built that third IKEA in TO that you can get to by subway. I don't have a car so rarely went before. Excellent for down pillows and other household things.

I thought that was the QEW looking towards Ikea Etobicoke. They all pretty much look the same in Toronto.

Here is an interesting shot of an Ikea in Stockholm, Sweden.

Yeah you are probably right. The North York location is also visible from the 401, so, it's hard to tell. I guess IKEA likes to build close to highways.

I like the one in Vaughan close to Hwy 407. I think it's much bigger. I always shop there not too much crowd and it's close to my house. Actually most of my furniture is from IKEA

Not only Ikea likes to build close to highways, also malls too, if you notice.

SE9, we've only got four in Greater London, though I thought I read a headline in today's Standard that there were plans for a fifth?

The largest IKEA store is the main one (Kungens Kurva) in Stockholm.

There are four IKEAs in the Copenhagen-Malm÷ area, with plans on building a fifth.
