Nope, it's at the other side, so behind the torch altogether.

I'm not a fan of these psudo glass concrete buildings intended to cheapen out on window washing. Something this tall should be entirely out of glass like the Burj Khalifa.

Nice buildings and cool district, but I think they are placed too close to each other. I think skyscrapers look better if there is a gap between them (not too big though) so you easily can see the shape of each building. That would also prevent the buildings from blocking each others views.

^yes i agree.
does everyone think, once cladding is complete, work will start back on crown to complete the building?

That looks like the plan. I wish they get the crown finished first though. I want to see another tower on this block topped out.

I think that the main problem with this district is that the towers have the same general shape (which is a thin cube) and are organized in lines- it blocks the regular skyline effect and instead of a wall of buildings the gaps are too visible (in other skylines- there are other buildings behind those gaps).

That's because there are more lines of buildings on those skylines, not that their towers are randomly placed. Manhattan is certanly not random.

Most of Dubai's buildings look like the lego towers I made as a kid.

Does anyone have a description of what the crown is going to look like, or know where to find more information?

Will it have light effects or LED features?
