approval issues. from what i've heard the initial thinking was that people living right at the shore wouldn't need a large pool so much. so it was rather sized for a couple of kiddies with their moms or maids. hence the playground.

soon after the initial plans got approved, experience in the marina taught that pools are very popular no matter how close you are to the beach. so they tried to change the plans. but no chance to change the drawings every few months with the hundreds of other towers in the city being constructed at the same time - would be a admin nightmare.

tameer are very aware the pool is too small for today's standards, and they wish back then they realized.

what can you do. well, at least there is plenty of space for sunbeds etc. if the management and owners association manage the podium space right, it will be just as fine. maybe with BBQ areas and other stuff like in ocean heights...

i very much like the greenery on the podium. very refreshing. the palm trees are lit up at night by the way.

I was 6 years in a grand building with more than 400 units, and a pool similar to that of Princess tower, and honestly, the pool was often without people in the water. Indeed, there were people sunbathing on deck chairs, around the pool, but into the water almost never saw anybody, maybe a child.
So I think that the size of the pool is fine.

The apartments looks Stunning very nice tiles and balconies, and the view is amazing

Are many of the apartments rectangular and span from corner to corner like yours do?

That would be a perfect apartment for a base-jumper.

How do those sprinkler systems work? Do they just cover each apartment or floor individually, or does your apartment get drenched if there's a fire 10 floors up? I guess they must be on an individual basis.

Same as in the UK I guess

.... not that I would wish anyone to find it out the hard way.

I'm sure that each apartment is individual from others.
