What level is it at now? It must be close to 90.

I really appreciate the spire on Pentominium, also!
But isn't the spire cancelled?

I was joking in my post of course.

Seriously speaking though, we really don't know whether there will be a spire on Pentominium or not. BRAMBLE would know a great deal more on this, as all his info on this project to date has been spot on. The building isn't even out of the ground yet, so they have lots of time on their hands before they will need to make a final decision. Personally, I hope there will be a spire, not just because of the extra height, but because I really like the design. I think it fits the building very well indeed. But hey, if there's no spire in the end, this will still be a spectacular building any way you look at it!

Anyway back on topic:

I must say it's only in recent updates this building is beginning to look huge to me. Funny how misleading photographs can be.. Wonder how long it will remain the tallest here though??

Easy: 2 years at least ... till the Pentominium will catch up.

Not so bad. Looking forward to seeing the dome on PT coming together. That should be quite interesting to observe I think.

Should be under the slab formwork already, at least partly. Only the core has risen +1 this week up to floor 89 / 330.5 m, if I'm not mistaken.

Yes, the setback finally started. It will be interesting to see if they will use a formwork also for the upper floor(plate)s as they have done till now, or will they build them conventionally pillar by pillar.

One thing is for sure though, the stop on regular floors is over

Fine... and meanwhile over this week, the core has gained another level: floor 90 u/c now, bringing Princess Tower up to 334.2 m. If I'm not mistaken, this should make it 4th tallest in Dubai, overtaking Rose Tower.

Actually 42 meters till the "roof" and then the dome has to start.

I really like this tower. One of my favorites in the marina supertall block. I wish they would've put a larger base at the bottom and then have setbacks. Tall and skinny is okay. But a fatter base like the ESB would've been great.
