I've talked to a couple of people that thought the appartments facing sideways towards Emirates Crown (e.g. Flat No 7) are only getting partial marina view.

But actually, since the Princess is offset from the other towers and closer to the sea, you actually get a relatively decent sea view even from the back corner of the tower. As for Flat 07, I would say the sea view is almost better than the little bit of marina view because the Emirates Corwn covers most of it. The back corner appartment will get both, marina and sea.

This picture was taken with plenty of open water behind my back.

If you're above let's say floor 65 you don't need to worry about Emirates Crown anymore.

Again, for anybody who's invested in this building and wondering what the view from their appartment is going to be [/B]like please check out the recent update on Tameer's website (they've done a quite good job in this).
http://www.tameer.net/projects/price...ject_views.asp

There's a PDF document avaiable for download with views from floors 7, 35, 71, and 84 into each direction (16 views per floor).

Also, if you haven't done already, make sure to whatch this amazing video on youtube from the 84th floor going all the way around the building: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=849VUHQ2_SY by ghiyasuddin2009

World's tallest residential tower will be ready next year

Quote:
Despite tough forecasts for sector, developer Tameer will deliver the project by Q4 of 2011

By Parag Deulgaonkar | Published Saturday, November 27, 2010

The 107-storey Princess Tower in Dubai Marina, billed to be the tallest residential tower in the world, will be ready for delivery by fourth quarter of 2011, Emirates 24|7 can reveal.

In the same quarter, the 91-storey Elite Residence in Dubai Marina will also be completed and ready for handover, claims Tameer Holding, the developer behind the two towers.

“We are planning the handover of the 414-meter PrincessTower (763 units) and 381-metre Elite Residence (696 units) in Dubai Marina, and Imperial Residence (510 units) in Jumeirah Village South by the fourth quarter of 2011,” company President Federico Tauber told this website.

The crowning of the Princess isn't happening yet, also not much more glass - but it's a nice picture nethertheless.

I was on the 15th floor of the Princess Tower today to view the actual fittings of the units. Walls and ceilings quite nice, bathrooms were ok. Overall quality impression ok.

Entry doors to each unti have nice design and ornaments. Although I was missing a bit of a "princess" theme inside - no big deal.

I've only seen pictures of the interiors before and today came to the conclusion that in reality it looks better than on the internet. The kitchens are actually all right - not as bad as I thought. With the exception of the kitchen wall tiles, which are as bad as I thought. So everybody bring a hammer after handover ;D. The rest can stay - although it's still not 5-star luxury for sure, but all right.

Closets were nice actually, with light wood and a big mirror.

Sliding doors and balconies appeared to be decent quality. Massive rails, unlike in the tower I currently live in, give you comfortable feeling standing at the edge. The small balconies on some of the units are acutally - as the name suggests - relatively small. But at least every units has one, which I find utterly important, so good job in that regard, Tameer. The larger balconies are cool.

Overall, the site was pretty busy, lots of workers particulary working on the interiors.

By the way, I was happy to find entry phones with video display in every of the six units I seen.
