In Dubai when you have so many skyscrapers & architects who are trying to outdo each other, you have to expect many varied looks & designs. Same thing is happening in China. For fans of skyscrapers like us, we are like the proverbial children in a candy store. So nothing is 'ugly' for me! Bring on the extreme designs! I love them all!

Latest update from Tameer website. Internal finishing, kitchen wall tiles, bathrooms, etc is progressing well as up in the 80+ levels.

what makes this tower "such expensive"? interior finishing quality is a question of price per square foot really, which is not much higher than elsewhere so you'd be kidding yourself expecting marble tiles and golden door knobs.

if owners want marble or make any other upgrades they're welcome do so right after handover.

besides, what we see on the pictures is pretty ordinary stuff (like the ceiling, or the doors and floor dirty from construction). those are actually quite fine. as opposed to the kitchen tiles and bathrooms that are not shown on this page as of yet (...and which are not so great).

6B means 6 basement levels. We only use the above-ground floors in the floor count.

i guess you may be right...i think the buildings in the middle east are much stronger than the ones in the us since concrete is much stronger than steel right?

Stronger in what exactly?

You can't just compare two random building that share nothing in shape number of floors or floor plate surface.

Anyway, I would think that a concrete structure might be more resistant to a collision or maybe more stable in high winds, but on the other hand, concrete is more prone to athmospheric agents corroding, so a steel structure might have a longer lifespan, though the way the structure(s) are maintained might overcome that tendency.

BTW, since the last update, the horizontal beams compleating the layout of the floor, have been put in place.

Yes, same sort of sinus curve. In those days, South Manhattan around Wall Street cold have had a similar impression for viewers like the Marina... or even greater, due to the novelty of skyscrapers.

And on this pics, there's even a Statue of Liberty!
