Evidence 1:Jialing river is so clean as you see. Evidence 2:When the Yangtze river flows into Chongqing,it's category 2,while it flows aways from Chongqing,it gets category 1.Chongqing purifies the river, see? About the air pollution,I think We've done a lot.The govt even plans to remove a big steel plant which actually contributes a lot to the local economy,at the same time, other Chinese cities like Shanghai,Qingdao,Guangzhou,Wuhan, etc, they don't have any plan to remove their steel plant.Further more, there're not any petrochemical refineries in Chongqing, whereas in Shanghai,Beijing,Wuhan etc there're very large petrochemical refineries there. The air pollution in Chongqing is quite different from other big Chinese cities, because the main polluter in Chongqing is the construction sites. |

That subway map looks huge! When will be completed? How many km?
I suppose they are planning many highways too, ring roads, etc.

I think it's an alternative proposal for new Jiangbei CBD. Honestly, if this is approved it will be the world's most futuristic CBD for years, but the result might be very disappointing and awful. They should build one "mountain" only and let's see how does it look like after being built.
Anyways, the original proposal for Jiangbei new CBD looks even more stunning with so many huge towers:
