I forgot about Sydney Tower being a great vantage point. The SMH Commercial property section mentions about construction commencing on the site today along with the building name.

Yeah it gives you a real sense of how big this site is, as I think someone has mentioned before. Great to hear construction starting!

Grocon updated the 163 Castlereagh Street website.

Or should i say 161 Castlereagh Street website...

URL - http://www.161castlereagh.com.au/

It has some great new pictures and a superb fly through tour.

The flythrough is good, but I noticed that Freehills is featured on the Castlereagh Street side with ANZ at 262 Pitt St. Could the SMH be wrong in the details they provided last week.

They aren't consistent when it comes to reporting on major projects.

Thanks for posting the link to the fly through munckei. This is going to have a pretty active base with some good integration at street level. Love the tower too, it's going to be a winner.

I was told that construction photos are not allowed despite it being from the footpath.

Apologies for the blurryness.

Yes, you do: you are not a professional photographer and you aren't photographing children. I think these guys either are ill-informed or bluffing for reasons of their own.

There should be more development company funded cameras (i.e. inspectors) so they can stop bludging and build this project faster!

There has been an advert on TV promoting a housing subsidy for new home buyers and they zoom in on this site. I notice they digitally enhance the site to make it look level with brown dirt.

No photos yesterday due to the construction workers milling at the gate but the hole is geting deeper quite quickly. There is also a historical display along the Castlereagh street side showing some photos of their archological dig. Interesting reading.

Noticed the red model at the SCC model yesterday. Everything looks like it has been cleared up from what I saw yesterday passing the site.
