fevrier c'est un mois chaud au maroc .....but why the hell did you add the birth date of Gad whatever !!!! I mean come on how about his brother too , he is an actor too and a bit more intellictual ...GAD is just a loser , his father sent him to study in canada because he was a big hmaar in the school....I do not have nothing against him , but adding his birth date here is just way too much ridiculouse , unless he is from your family and you are trying to promote him....

Malta and Morocco

In regards to the similarity that exists between Maltese and North African language, I think the role of Morocco is considerable. It is the influence that Morocco played in North Africa and some parts of the Mediterranean that explains the unique language development.

Direct Evidence: There is a city called RABAT in Malta!

I'm familiar with the airport of La Valetta. From the pictures I've seen and according to my dad who's been to Malta, it's a beautiful place. I wonder how accurate this is:

Żammit (2000, see references) found that 40% of a sample of 1,820 Quranic Arabic roots were found in Maltese (a lower percentage than found in Moroccan (58%) and Syrian Arabic (72%)). Usually, words expressing basic concepts and ideas, such as raġel man, mara woman, tifel boy, dar house, xemx sun, sajf summer, are of Arabic origin.

And as for the ethnic groups in Morocco, like I said I don't think it's possible to assign a percentage to an ethnicity like that. Just in my case for example if I look at my grandparents, there's a mixture of Andalusian, Kabyle, Berber, Arab

the maltese is an arabic dialect similar to tunisian and lybian with many italian words , I do not have any problems understanding it .....It is the only arab language written in latin alphabet ...although some maltese will argue wrongly that theire language derive from an ancient phenician language ...that's not true

Maltese isn't an Arabic language, it's a Semitic language.

Houari means courageous and hardy and sometimes it means also pious.

Houara is also the name of an important berber tribe living in Algeria and in Morocco ( South of Agadir)

April 7

The Algeciras Conference of 1906 took place in Algeciras, Spain, and lasted from January 16 to April 7. The purpose of the conference was to mediate the First Moroccan Crisis between France and Germany, and to assure the repayment of a large loan made to the Sultan in 1904. The triple Entente between France, Russia, and the United Kingdom. France tried to achieve a protectorate over Morocco, but was opposed by Germany.

The full diplomatic corps of the European powers was involved. The chief mediator, US Ambassador to Italy Henry White (aided in large part by Ambassador to Morocco Samuel R. Gummere) was assigned by President Theodore Roosevelt to solve the dispute. The conference resulted largely in France's favor, though Gummere assured the protection of German investments.

The final agreement, signed April 7, 1906 covered the organization of Morocco's police and customs, regulations concerning repressing the smuggling of armaments, and concessions to the European bankers from a newly-formed State Bank of Morocco, issuing banknotes backed by gold, with a 40-year term. The new state bank was to act as Morocco's Treasury Department, but with a strict cap on the spending of the Sherifian Empire, with administrators appointed by the national banks that guaranteed the loans: the German Empire, the UK, France and Spain. Spanish coinage continued to circulate. Rights of Europeans to own land were established. Taxes were to be levied towards public works. Opium and kif (hashish) continued to be a government monopoly of the Sultan's.

The Sultan of Morocco retained control of a police force in the six port cities, which was to be composed entirely of Moroccan Muslims (budgeted at an average salary of a mere 1000 pesetas a year), but now to be instructed by French and Spanish officers who would oversee the paymaster (the Amin) and regulate discipline, and who could be recalled and replaced by their governments. The Inspector-General in charge would be Swiss and reside in Tangiers.

At the last moment the Moroccan delegates found that they were unable to sign the protocol, but a decree of Sultan Abdelaziz of Morocco on June 18 finally ratified it.

During the conference, the British sailed their North Sea Navy to the Strait of Gibraltar, which was also where their Mediterranean Navy was stationed. The purpose for doing this was to intimidate the German diplomats who were attending the conference.
