All these new tall buildings are gonna make Taipei 101 and Petronas building look very small.

I'm sure it will look a lot shinier when many glass modules are installed, because they will cover a lot more area and angles, so the sun, clouds and sky will be reflected easier. I've seen this effect in Torre Espacio, Madrid (first glass modules didn't appear shiny, but now... wow!!! Look at construction pics in it's thread)

makes you wonder what happened during the facade tests, was there some kind of error, i'd expect to have seen more by now unless there was a problem

Perhaps with the podium levels and other things being moved in, they've decided to wait on the glass for awhile? With most of these recent projects, it seems like the glass either follows the core very closely or takes awhile to even start. Although the height of this tower is amazing so far, it also has a long way to go.

Well, that's my guess on the glass issue anyway. Anyone on the forums here work with glass installation in the industry that might be able to give us a better idea about that in general or anyone in Dubai specifically for BD?

Thanks for the new progress pics. It's really taking off now. Those nice curved ends above the first nosecone setbacks (above 17F) really add a lot of grace to the structure but more importantly, floor space!
