great. i count 67 levels to top of core but i think it says 66 because its the constructed highest floor. the core box goes up a full level above that.

With today’s technological advancements in architectural engineering a building will be very lucky to have the worlds tallest building record for over 5 years. Look at Taipei 101 give it another year or so and it will no longer keep the worlds tallest and it’s been the tallest since 2004. At least it had a good four years of glory before Durj Dubai knocks it off the record scale. The Empire State and Sears Tower will continue to remain in the record books because they held there record for over 30 years or so. I can’t imagine another building in the future holding that record for any longer.

That's one hell of a tower!
It's only on what? 30% of the construction process?
And it's already higher than the highest tower in my country, Israel.

Hope one day i could visit this amazing city - Dubai.
