Last time I checked the American said **** u to Dubai after buying their port

Just to put u in the picture. Our country dont depend on America economically at all.

Infact we are actually invading the northern and the sourthern sides of ur country in Canada and Latin America with our ports so watch out.

Makes one wonder when Israel will target (shades of 9/11) Dubai's castles.

I've noticed the core has risen rapidly in the last month but some of the construction on the wings is dragging. I wish I could interview the project manager to learn how he decides where to put constuction effort. Maybe we should give AltinD a fake press pass and send him on a mission. But if he were caught, we wouldn't get his great updates anymore. Bad idea.

While oil is only 6% of Dubai's GDP today, 5 years ago it was 17% and oil has always provided a disproportionate share of the emirate's cash flows. If it weren't for oil, Dubai's economy would look more like Egypt's or Jordan's.

So, yes, Dubai's building boom is backed with a capital reserve that is largely but not exclusively from oil receipts.

But oil isn't enough. If it weren't for the management of Dubai's leaders, it's GDP would be stangnant like that of Venezuela.

Doormanpoet, Venezuela, which has the fourth largest oil reserve in the world, uses its oil money to support Fidel Castro, cronyism, a leftist regime in Bolivia, and corruption. Venezuela's leader, Hugo Chavez is so anti-American, he makes Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad look like George Bush's best friend. And (here's the good part) the US is its biggest oil customer. Please go rant about that and edit that horrible, misinformed monologue about Dubai. Dubai is a blessing and you're embarrassing me.

That is cos the height is measured on the core and not the lowest floor plate. the core is easy to cast at a rate 2.65 days per floor(read4 meters). its small and with a 24hr working cycle (2 shifts) its east to fix steel in shift one and move forms in shift 2, cast in shift 3 and strip in shift 5 and start again.
wings are being left behind and the lower 3 nibs have finnished so those forms will be moved to the next wing section needing a nib form.

Im suppriosed that they havent started cladding yet, this is gonna have to play big time catch up

Do they cast the slab's floor by floor? because that build rate is pheonominal!
Is it possible to pour 2 floors at once? i.e set up the scafolds & decking plates for both slabs & pour it at once, & how fast those the concrete slab take to dry? & how often do ur'll have to water it?

I think the floor slabs are poured casted more then one at the time indeed. As for the watering of the concrete, I've never seen doing it.

No it's not. The curtain walls (facde) should have started months ago.

There are words that it might be up to 6 months behind the schedule.

They use doka table forms so its easy to stip and move to the next floor. Remember that on this tower there are multiple work front you have the following
1-core team
2- 3 seperate shearwall teams (1 per wing)
3- 3 seperate floor slab teams (1 per wing) also doing the perimiter columns in a perimiter jumpform
4- 6 nib teams

This tower is essentially a massive core with 3 x twin shear walls per wing so the vertical team and the horizontal team are completly seperate.
have been on site and the logistics of cleaning forms and replacing is such a massive undertaking. If you watch the cranes they do some serios work. Also helps to have such high capacity pumps with very long booms

Seven thousand, two hundred posts... or rather, desert wanks... and you still sound like a teenager with his tongue stuck out. What a poster-boy you are for Dubai... Big mouth but small reproductive organs = 7,200 posts from a Car nut on an internet forum. Get a job. Really.

BTW. There's no such thing as a 2002 330ci....
