With the comment you made earlier, you are the one that sounds like an idiot. What does Isreal have to do with this? Maybe you should shut up and keep your hatred of Isreal to yourself.

Well done Emiraatis!

How many floors is it suppose to be when it is done?

& (approximately) for how long will this tower (Burj Dubai) stay the tallest in the world? I think it has some competitors under-construction, unless I am mistaken.

4- 6 nib teams

This tower is essentially a massive core with 3 x twin shear walls per wing so the vertical team and the horizontal team are completly seperate.
have been on site and the logistics of cleaning forms and replacing is such a massive undertaking. If you watch the cranes they do some serios work. Also helps to have such high capacity pumps with very long booms
As far as I know only the central core formwork is provided by DOKA, the rest is from other companies, with one of them German also.

I don't know why your upset. Buildings are rarely finished on-time.

I got an idea....If your opinion may be offensive to someone, yet you continue to berade them with it, that makes you a bigot. I would keep it to skyscraper talk on here, otherwise the US might just turn the whole damn middle east into a McDonalds parking lot. Keep it cool guys.

I think you are wrong (or I misunderstood you ):

1. DOKA provides the formwork for ALL the structural walls, that is, the hexagonal central core and the three wings. You can see it in this plan from DOKA:

2. DOKA also supplies the wind and security protection walls (yellow "things").

3. DOKA is a company from Austria.

4. Hünnebeck (from Germany) supplied the materials for constructing the podium area (walls, columns and floor slabs, including those of the parking lots), and for constructing the floor slabs of the first 10 storeys of the tower. I don't know who supplies the formwork for the rest of the floor slabs of the tower. Hünnebeck also supplies formworks for Dubai Mall. For more details on Hünnebeck at Burj Dubai see: http://www.huennebeck.de/english/new...ail.php?id=124

Don't hesitate to correct me if I'm wrong

Cheers.

Ok ok
Maybe I'm wrong in the sense that AltinD was referring to the whole structure (hexagonal central core + 3 wings) as "central core"

Lets see your beloved Israel make something so great, of this calibre.
officially the burj dubai will have approx 160 floors. The concrete frame terminates at 575m or 156th floor. Some sources say 189 floors which 30 floors may be located in upper steel frame section.
I think Burj Dubai will stay tallest for a long time. There are none uc that get near its height.
800m is 300m higher then any skyscraper atm.

heres a diagram i did recently showing world talls uc and planned

Hopefully you'll have to add Dubai's Al Burj to that diagram soon - the tower that promises to beat Burj Dubai for wtb title

Islamofacists hated us long before Bush became president. So don't lay all the world's problems in his lap.I don't agree with a lot of things he's done, especially the handling of the illegal alien invasion we have. However,he's done a helluva lot more to fight islamofacists than his predessors have so I give him credit for that.

Those "towell head" third world hellholes like Dubai are just trying to put a shine
on a sneaker with their high altitude crane work. The area sucks.

you are right, the grey areas are the vertical shear walls that are cast with multipule jumpforms on each wing as well as a seprate one around the triangular core. The 3 coloured greens per wing represent the 3 seperate floor work fronts and these are table forms. the blue , yello and orange again are seperate floor work fronts with 2 per core-wing section. on top of this there are 6 nib teams.
In summary
15 slab teams filling in between the shear walls and 9 core and shearwall teams plus 6 nib teams .
so there are 30 seperate work fronts working on thier own repetitive areas either vertical or horisontal and thats why it is so fast, plus s hifts 24hrs a day and massive automation

Personally I hope Al burj doesn't get built so Burj Dubai will hold the WTB!
