This one is a map of the current Paris network.
If someone has a map showing the planned extensions to the network, please add it.

Then what's the point of posting the present map - which, btw, has already been posted here innumerable times before...And did you ever hear of thumbnails?

Digger21 already referred to proposals in Hamburg. But actually, only one station is currently under construction: S1 extension to the airport (3.4 km), finally to be inaugurated in 2008.

Another station (U4 to Überseequartier) is proposed. But I hope it won't get realised in its proposed form because it seems much too complex, inefficient, and costly: A 3.4 km tunnel will be bored along almost 3/4 of a circle without any intermediate stops.

It is stupid that there are no stops because the line leads right through the city centre, crossing under two other lines near their stops. U4 trains will be heading northwest at Jungfernstieg station but after the large loop, they will be heading northeast. The line will crisscross through the city in spaghetti fashion, or like being drunk. Very inefficient, compared to all other means of traffic.

I would prefer a line running from U1's Meßberg or Steinstraße station, which is only 700 m from Überseepark. (Lohsepark, on the map below, is not proposed for the near future, by the way).

We looked at mountains until dawn, and then when dawn came, it was too pretty for me - there was pink and blue and gold, in the sky, and on icy places, brilliant pink and gold flashes, and the snow was colored too, and I said," Oh," and sighed; and each moment was more beautiful than the one before; and I said, " I love you, Momma." Then I fell asleep in her arms.
That was happiness then.

Alright, I'm on summer break now, so I have way too much time on my hands I just made my own vision for Copenhagen in the future, and it turned out quite nicely I think. It's mostly light rail, with the exception of one S-Tog line being extended.

This is the metro and the actual plans for expansions. This is what we're most likely going to see in the future.

This, however, is what I would like it to be in the future The metro is there, I didn't make that, and the black lines are S-Tog, they're there already too. The rest is made by me, though. The grey line is the extension of the S-Tog out to the airport, all the rest is light rail.

And here with explanations plus it looks more organized. I wasn't really sure about the orange line down Jagtvej, as it's basically the same route as some of the metro ring, but I think it'd be useful and I like it

Copenhagen would be so much sexier with light rail

Note: I posted the exact same post over in the S&B section too

The actual planned extensions for Toronto to be completed by 2009/2015 (if I'm not mistaken, the extension on the left is for '09, and the right one for '15)

Another variation, excluding the extensions (I think I like this one the best)

Another proposal

Wow. Great maps there. What would you say about the certainty of each of the proposed lines? I mean we know East London Line is happening, DLR extension is happening, Crossrail will happen some time but South London Tram extensions to Tooting do seem quite unlikely, especially as it's losing so much money. Surely Crossrail (and Thameslink) are overground services that (in Crossrail's case) spend much time underground? Did you not include Crossrail 2 because you don't believe it will ever come about?
