Now that I've seen the Sygfride metro, that's just massive! 27 lines (That's right, twenty-seven) , only in a Beijing planning map I've seen that many lines. Anyway, those random names are just that, random. I used to do that, but I turned a bit more realistic. And if many names are used, I may end up using some silly ones.

Well they aren't really random though, they seem to be, but they follow a grammatical structure like most names in the world, yet only fictional. It obviously takes its inspiration from existing languages, but it's "unique" in its own way.

It is. Which is something I don't really like myself, but it does suit the city in question. Very strictly organised and perhaps a bit borderline obsessed with order. It does require a 10 degree twist to the left to represent the "real" situation.

And I'm looking forward to your take on LC, lsg97!

Enjoy and don't mind feedback/questions.

Where you got that half station? The Aragon RER had 8.5 lines, with that half line coming up by the fact one line ran along the Aragon/Catalonia border. Anyway, that Liberty City subway is like if the NY Subway was to extend into New Jersey, since it extends across the West River into Alderney.

Is the second Denver Avenue station the 0.5? That complex is basically the ingame City Hall Station. I do miss San Quentin and Vauxite, or just any station in their surroundings. Great work nonetheless.

Exactly, the Denver Ave, station(s) are what makes the .5 number of stations since there would be only one complex with stops on the yellow, blue and green lines, however the distance between the green and yellow lines would techincally make up for 2 separate stations.

Thank you anyway, the project I might be looking at next would be an RER style network across the GTA San Andreas map, since this one consists of several different but similarly-sized cities.

Hello !
Here is the map of the transport network of the imaginary town of Rougemont, where is spoken rougemais: a mix of Flemish, Dutch, French, Arabic and Italian.
The network has eight subway lines and RER.

(sorry for my bad english )

Curious about the potential overcrowding of Centraal station as the downtown interchange for all lines.

Why do all the metro lines terminate at Centraal - why not link them up so that you have four cross-city lines? Why is the 'RER' (really just an express airport service) called line 'E'? What happened to A, B, C and D?

RER Line "E" means Express.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 are not lines, I made a mistake ; they are services. Service 1 and 8 are the line A, 7 and 3a (green) line B, 5 and 3b (orange) line C and 6 and 2 line D. I know it's weird, i will review this transit network.

I am bad at design but I like making maps
Here's a factional metro map I made of Daugavpils - a real, but small town.

All lines are subway, except the dark gray one which is overground.

Names were really hard to come up as it turns out that Daugavpils is bad at naming areas: there are 4 places called Grīva in the distance of 6 km; there are 11 alterations of the name Stropi and there's even a lake whose name literally translates as No-name

Naturally, I couldn't resist naming a station after that lake so here you see station Bezvārde (No-name)
In real life there used to be a train stop and it was called "The 7th kilometer" for the lack of a better name

Well the only thing you're bad at seems to be overstatement -that design is amazing!

May I ask which program you use to draw such maps?

Yeah, It's basically for an imaginary future where since 1990 the population had grown 10 times to 1'300'000 instead of dropping quite rapidly.
At 30 km, the Yellow line would be the longest line, because it connects neighboring towns.

I used Adobe Illustrator CS6 to make this.

What do you think is the best way to name transit stations?
I used a mix of:
Area names - Stropi, Grīva, Viduspoguļanka, Jeruzāleme (Jerusalem);
Important person names related to the area - Rotko (Mark Rothko), Dubrovina, Graftio;
Functions related to the area - Rūpniecība (Manufacturing), Ķīmiķi (Chemists);
Object names - Kapi (Cemetary), Slimnīca (Hospital), Lidosta (Airport), Šķirotava (Sorting station), 13. vsk. (13th Secondary school);
Company names - DLRR (Daugavpils Locomotive Repair Factory), Ditton (Ditton skid chain factory).

Oh my gosh! These maps are amazing! (and I'm good at Google Maps, how sad, no? :P )

Well now these stuff are increasing the urge for me to get these programs, the only catch for me is price and sometimes, they look hard to use. Any suggestions?
