Nice one! I like how it still manages to loom overhead even when you're still inside.

Nothing that exciting, I'm afraid. It's a bridge to the buildings at the QE hospital site which will be retained (e.g. pharmacy, oncology) - I think they're calling it the 'skybridge'...or I might have made that up?

I'm still not keen on the coloured patches and the cladding, to be honest. But hey - I guess there's no pleasing some people

i am pretty sure it is not going to be knocked down as it will cost too much because they cant just demolish it becasue of all the asbestos in it.not sure what the long term plans are for it. it may be too old and out dated to be a hospital, but it is still fine to be used for something else......maybe research labs...or even better a massive paintball range!!!!!!! |

Some sections want flatening, But the original buildings ould be striped out and converted To more Admin or maybe Housing for medical students and staff (esential worker housing) once the remaing (un modernised areas) have had Asbestos from the risers stripped out.
Could it not be that the University moves into some of it as the campus adjoins ?

Could the Dental Hospital move there from the city centre?
