To be honest, since June 2, this whole thread has been hijacked into some kind of meta-discussion of 'Atlanta vs. Dallas' and now it's Miami vs. Dallas. So I'm going to trim theses sails in hopes this thread can focus on it's main topic: Buckhead-Atlanta's Twin City.

edit: while I'm at it, I think the title can lose the shouty all caps and the OP picture needed a refresh (time machine style! )

If you live and work close to a MARTA line it isn't that difficult to get around Atlanta, but the train network isn't particularly extensive for a metro well over 5 million.

Buckhead is quite the architectural enigma. As a whole it's quite impressive for a secondary skyline, and there are indeed some nice structures to see. But there are also some bulky and decidedly lame plays off the glass box theme: Several attempts to look like two forms molded together that come off half-a***d, IMO. Plus there are three that try to play themselves off as grand houses with their roofs and chimneys, leading to some awkward juxtapositions like this:

I suspect you're a tad late in responding, but who knows! It is indeed a shame, though, that MARTA hasn't been allowed to reach out further and fill in their network. It's currently one of the features stifling Atlanta's continued evolution.
