I been searching for this church for so long. the last time I saw it, it was a rundown brown-ish concrete building, I think this one is among the churches that survived the war

I think the new painting looks very nice.
I am so envy these girls for having a house with balcony looks straight into a church.
I read in the John Pope bibliography, he also lived in a house with window looked straight at the Warsaw cathedral, that is so romantic

personally I like the old aquamarine painting, looks so nice, this colour is very subtle

Autumn has arrived, I don't think you can feel this if you're now in saigon, but here the weather is getting chilly, and I think northern Vietnam is just about the same. September and October maybe are the best 2 months of the year, the weather is just right.

Russian gothic?

I think we all know the famous chapel in Versaille palace in France. this church in Nam DInh Vietnam fit perfectly in with the Hermitage summer palace in St.peterburg Russia

This is the first time I seen this type of church in Vietnam, the onion domes of the bell towers are very new compare to the tradional French domes

Venetian gothic?
this is also in Nam DInh, I can't wait to see the final product, when all the plaster art works are done on the main facade, even at this stage you can tell how excessive and ornate this building will be. This one reminds me lots of teh Milan cathedral blueprint, but this one has domes and bell towers. the drum on top is very very cool. Again focus on the fungshui element, seems like every church in northern Vietnam has reflection
