I can see why you would dislike Unity but what about this tower don't you like? Just the cladding? Besides, dom isn't a Liverpudlian - Location: SE England..

I dont see why people dislike the look of these two towers because they 'age quickly'.. its good that liverpool has put up some towers that look dated so that it doesn't have this look of a skyline appearin 'overnight'... the skyline will look much better in the future if it has a collection of buildings that look from one period, then the next, etc.. I feel anyway

Personally I love all the new towers on the waterfront, all very different.

I agree. I was really looking forward to this but the cladding is just (to me) horrific. Same with all beethams and maybe I am biased but this is where I think brums comes out on top. It looks reasonably average.

Eh? It's the same thing, stripey blue. Personally I think brums is the worst off because of the horrible details on the blue bits. It looks like patterned wall paper from a past decade - almost as if beetham were trying to make the building 'retro'.

Brum's has a sense of togetherness. Its not as reiduclously patchy. Dont get me wrong. There all shit cladding. Every single flaming one of them. But Beetham West was suppose to be the saviour but its just turned out the worst out the lot.

I don't want to start an argument but I don't think HCT is as together as you think. You have the wavy pattern glass panels with the clear glass panels and random blue stripes. In that respect West Tower is simpler and cleaner. It also looks like some of the cladding on HCT changes halfway up splitting the building. That said, I generally like all the Beetham towers, but out of them all the first Beetham tower (in Liverpool) is the worst.

I guess the best time to make final judgements is when the tower is complete, most of the tower is still bare concrete and construction equipment. Also, there is still protective backing on the clear panels!

Actually looks the messiest of the bunch. It does change half way up aswell, so far I prefer west tower.

No all pictures chosen were to refering to specific points. Cladding texture etc. All pictures give angles of the main sides joining as one. The picture you chose was effectively taken with a $9.99 camara.

Oh one last thing it depends what you search. My search was Brum beetham, then Birmingham beetham either way this is the first image that comes up that gets the entire front in.

Your picture is one of the last on there And messiest of the bunch? I really think your're becoming blind. I think all beethams are shit. But west is just shocking.

LOOK AT THAT CLADDING (height? great, location? great, finished clad? )

But it's not the finished cladding, is it? there's only about 12 floors of it, and most panels are still covered in protective sheeting. It'll look better on West tower because of the relatively small surface area, and less of a hotch-potch than the Manc and Brum towers.
