whats wrong in the 'Iratai Ilai' arch design, it looks ugly pwd style but if they ve chosen that design for their party leader's memorial why shud others bother.

if it is built on Tax payer money, then how come it bear the symbol of 1 particular political property? that might be the question.

The land is govt owned and the memorial is constructed by using tax payer money and the recognition is as an EX CM not as party leader. That is how one can see it in the eyes of Law.
If it is seen as a Party symbol then get ready for one more Memorial in Marina pretty soon.

Arriving on International flight in Chennai at 12 a.m. Have a domestic departure after 5 hrs.

Don't have any membership for lounge.

I don't know if they do video recording of court proceedings. Would be very interesting to see the expression on the face or the lawyer givng that explanation and the Judge and the other people listening to it.

I can already visualize a Vivek or Vadivelu comedy on this one.

I am curious what happened finally. Did the DMK lawyer have any come back to it.

I read that the govt spent 8 crs on the renovation of MGR samadhi...this govt also spent couple of crores on hiring a crane to hold on to the Anna arch. Plus that pei bangla worth 1000 crs unutilised....elicha vaiyan iruka varaikum, ivanga ippadi than pannuvanga.

As Cho says, the real life Political Comedy in TN is much more funnier than the Movie comedy.

There is a silent war going on between both the leading parties here. In the Kotturpuram library and the new Assembly, the designs on the marble floors, window grill design & the carpet design were all having Rising Sun symbols. Is that the reason why JJ is pissed off , cancelling these projects ?

forget that not ensuring 24 power even after close 2 years,her first term she promised it park in 8 acres in taramani for full 5 years on paper completed by mk,2nd term1000 acres promised by her for airport expansion not an inch happened subsequently work got done by whom? metro initiated done by mk,2nd phase hanging in balance,forget mono,no nett asset addition whether flyovers,power,roads,landmark buildings now compare.

i was a hardcore supporter of her in 1st term due to her english,personality and inclusiveness as a breath of fresh air but sorely disappointed now the need of tn is a govt which works we can blame d.m.k for anything and everything but not for not trying.

a section of tamils seem to be supporting her blindly without being judgmental,
i sometimes wonder whether we have the interests of tn in mind,we have to make our leaders accountable without being swayed by favoritism.
