I'm not a fan of the colour but I like the dimensions. As for the light bar on the Trump Website it looks like it goes all the way up. Also it appears they've added sections up to the last hotel floor now.

The next setback on the east side is visible as seen in this rendering.

You're right. I think because of how the corners are being handled (i.e. darker), it's going to make the building look slimmer, and in the process also give it the illusion of being taller.

That's the power of illusion! The new black inlets remove the blockiness and give a strong vertical line, which it lacked before, making it appear taller and consequently slimmer. Also the white façade now appears to be "stuck-on" which I'm sure doesn't hurt the feeling of slimness.

I feel like this project is taking much longer for each floor compared to Four Seasons or Shangri-La. Perhaps it has something to do with the set back. Since Sept. 5th it's only moved up 7 stories (3.5 per month in comparison to Shangri-La's floor per week).

That being said, I'm willing to wait. I want this beauty done right.

Matt keep in mind both Shangri-La and 4 Seasons have huge areas to stage from. Trump has to do all of it's staging within it's foot print so it is much slower.

It sometimes amazes me how those cement trucks roaring down Adelaide manage to turn in to such a tiny site entrance. Do you reckon they will do the street interface last? Or is that going to be "the hat"?

On that note, how do they plan on doing the spire and top of building? Surely its too dense for an airlift. I guess that leaves putting a very tall crane on the tallest set-back? On a side note, has anyone seen the Shard's cranes? Holy crap those things are tall!

It all depends upon what section of the building the crew is working on. The amenities floors 30/31 and their high ceilings, mezzanine's and the mechanical levels 32 lower and 32 upper take a lot more work than simply repeating common floor-plates i.e. in the hotel and now on the next few residential levels. They soon will be back to about a floor every week and a half or so.

And of course, as mentioned... it's a tight footprint with little storage.

It's all looking good. I can't believe we're going to have an open hotel in a few months! It's exciting stuff!

trumptoronto I am looking forward to the opening of the completed building. It has been a long wait with several developers involved along the way and it will be a great addition to the Toronto skyline.

November 4 from Wellington.

being surrounded by bulkier towers (two of which are taller), i don't think trump will have a huge impact on the skyline unfortunately. but we'll see.

Won't Trump be taller with its spire compared to Scotia Plaza?
