Even though Trump didn't invest any of his own money in Toronto's Trump Tower, I'm sure he will appreciate being in Toronto tomorrow, so he can temporarily forget about his other Trump failures. Even his tower in Chicago is unprofitable. He should be FIRED!

I certainly would not buy a unit because of his name.

He also gained one pound since his last weigh in. He has less then 6 weeks now to drop 33 pounds or face another failed commitment.

well i know people who have weight issues...its not that easy...i think he should hire a personal trainer

I figured he and bro' would disappear for a mysterious vacation (ie. lipo) and come back 12 lb lighter, so at least he seems to be doing it the old fashioned way even if he is failing. It is not as easy to lose weight as his loudmouthed brother thought it would be.

Went inside of Trump for the first time today... said i just wanted to check out the place, and the staff was friendly, they even told me to check out the 31st floor and showed me to the elevators. (also some sweet classic cars on display on the ground floor)... WOW! inside is complete bling. the interiors are very flashy and sexy. up on the 31st floor, the restaurant is VERY small, it feels almost, but amazing and feels grounded at the same time, it's a real place up in the skies

the lobby is by far the greatest thing ever. the dark black tone and crystals. it's sick. i don't get how even the Ritz can compete imo.

my only dislike/disappointment was the elevators (at least the ones i took that go up to the 31st floor). kinda plain and clashes with the lobby design. it's light woof and there's a big framed mirror in it.. kinda weird... but the elevators are CRAZY SMOOOOOOOOTH!!! the smoothest i've ever been on in my life. period.

So far, no. About 70% of the Yonge Street strip (3 km long) is made up of modest low rise structures like those pictured in that shot. It's retail on the first floor and residential above, for the most part.

The transformation of Yonge really only started about a year ago with the 4 buildings started, and 5 more proposed. It will take another 30-40 big buildings before the whole strip is re-developed. That bit shown above has not seen any proposals yet.

i feel you man... i can't answer your question, but i agree that it looks like a slum... i say keep the retail, but redevelop the street.

*and i just realized, probably why there seem to be so few windows at Stock on the 31st floor are because they covered up almost the entire south wall because they are still installing the balcony... the views will be much more accessible once all that hoarding is removed.

That corner light only goes half way up the tower. I wonder what's taking them so long? That's the most exciting thing about this tower. I want to see how it effects the skyline at night. I hope it has a nice, dramatic effect and gives off a clear bright light. (a little colour would be nice too)

It will get redeveloped, but likely lowrise (5-15 floors tops) where Elm is. Just beyond Elm I don't see why something taller couldn't be built.
