Lagbuja, I watched a documentary on Mozambique the other day, they were on the main road in the county- which runs North to South, on a friday afternoon, and the presenter of the show was shocked at the lack of traffic. Despite good macroeconomic indicators- growth rates of 7-8%, low inflation, the economy is not really doing that well. Much of this growth has been spurned by a few capital intensive (not labour-intensive) mega-projects. The currnet low rate of growth in agriculture in particular is one of the main weaknesses in the economic.

Well it does explain a lot, you dont really hear a lot about Mozambique. I belive that the bad reputation given to Mozambique by the ANC has something to do with it.
BTW: 7% growth rates arent really that bad.
