I heard that the water used to fight the fire ran and soaked through all the floors below the fire, which will probaly cause more damage than the fire itself.

Yeah, except it's not technically a "monorail".

If you look real close you can see two "pairs" of rails, not single rails like a "mono" rail would use. So it's gonna be some sort of elevated light rail tram or something with regular train track type of wheels.

Maybe they haven't put in the main rail yet. just a suggestion. I mean if the rest of the city is already using a monorail and this is connecting to it, then you figure it would be a monorail and they just haven't put in the huge center rail yet.

The CityCenter people mover doesn't connect to the Las Vegas Monorail... they're 2 different transportation systems

I was just in Vegas last week and can attest to the massiveness of this project... especially when you are on the freeway and drive in-between City Center and the towers across the freeway from the strip. What is even more awe inspiring is that CC is only up to half its height! This place is crazy! I hate the leaning buildings though. I think they look silly.

Nice project for Vegas but I still don't like the skyline of Las Vegas. Every time I'm watching Las Vegas or CSI Las vegas on tv I'm thinking : Build some slim towers in the downtown it will really look nice, I'm sure about that
