You wanna fuck off? For this huge a project, just 6 deaths is not unexpected, though a little bit high. Of course there should be no deaths, but there's always people distracted, corporations skimping on safety training, etc... With this huge a project and with quite a fast speed, deaths in single-digits is quite low for the amount of square footage coming on line.

Actually, the bridge goes from Planet Hollywood to the Cosmopolitan, then you take another bridge from the Cosmopolitan to CityCenter.

Wow, Vdara cladding is perfect, perfect color, and just the right amount of reflectivity. Las Vegas has really progressed from the tacky theme resorts era with these great, beautiful, modern buildings.

shopping centre (mall) yes, fire station, power plant, office blocks not really, there will be towers but they won't be used for business purposes but hotel and condos.

As "waccamatt" mentioned, "In this day and age, any deaths on a construction project are unacceptable. They were right to strike." |

I don't want to be mean but these parking lots are plain ugly. Why didn't they put them underground?

there is only one you can see in those photos and it belongs to another Casino.
On the other hand, Las Vegas is a largely spread out city and not cramped so they could put the lots above surface. |

I thought they were wealthy enough to, you know, care about aesthetics.
I'm talking about all the casinos, not especially this one. |

You are kidding right? because every single important city in the world has these kind of parking places, not to mention european cities: I've lived in Rome for 19 years and it was full, and Milan, Madrid and Barcelona were exactly the same. Then there are cities like Toronto that have more parking places than parks (it's amazing how many parking areas there are in downtown toronto.... let alone the outskirts of Montreal, pretty embarrassing ). And what, these cities don't care about aesthetics? Please give me a good answer because I'm seriously considering you are not older than 15 and have seen very little world to be able to write something like that. p.s. or all these cities not wealthy enough to care about aesthetics? |

most of the casino car parks are located behind the hotels (you cannot see them on the strip) e.g. facing i-15 like the one in the above photo |

I'm pretty sure the Pallazzo is about the only one to have underground parking and that was mostly due to space restrictions and even that was not enough to accommodate all their parking needs. It's not more common because Las Vegas sits on extremely dense bedrock and excavating a pit big enough for these structures would be enormously expensive and take a lot more time, and in Vegas time is money. They work the construction crews 24/7 because everyday not open is a day millions are not earned.

This project is beautiful and the speed is AMAZING. Veer looking interesting, but I'm worried about how it will fit in. Time will tell I guess. When is this project supposed to be done again?
