Both tilted towers look like they're dancing. I like it and fit Las Vegas very well!

Capped at its current height, The Harmon looks like a midget surrounded by nearby giants.

This is what happens when MGM Mirage goes cheap and use an unreliable contractor, Perini. First, many workers died and injured on the contruction site, then safety issue became so severe that workers went on a strike, now Veer and The Harmon had construction mistakes and the problem is so serious that The Harmon had to be capped at its current height.

MGM Mirage went cheap again and hired contractor who didn't have permit and the proper training to install wires on Monte Carlo, and the fire was caused by workers who did not use proper mats to protect the roof when using cutting torch.

MGM Mirage's Borgata hotel in Atlantic City caught on fire during construction in 2007, and MGM Grand was on fire in 1980.

Left: BOrgata, Right: MGM Grand

How many other casino/hotels have you heard that had as many accidents as MGM. Mirage under Steve's management? Wynn? LVS? Caesars? No.
MGM Mirage's decision to use contractors that don't have proper training, safety and quality assurance procedures, even after repeated incidents, just shows you how cheap the company management is.

Hope they won't do it again this time. They shouldn't do that again. It is very expensive mistake and costs them billions dollars.

WOW! It looks really different than models and renderings! It doesn't look resort to me anymore. It looks like a mini city to me.

Unforunately, my boyfriend and I had to cancel our trip to Las Vegas due to personal reason but my boyfriend's dad took pictures of Las Vegas City Center for us. Here is his pictures:

I'm a little suprised. Used to be a time in vegas when you could see a long way up and down the strip. Now it looks like NYC, where it's difficult to take in the view of anything other than the block you are standing at. I have a room at the Bellagio in late April. Will I be able to see anything other than Paris directly across the street?
