Nice pictures. I can see many projects are going on in Las Vegas on these pictures. Thanks for sharing.

We need to get back to the subject.

City Center has no Y or X shaped buildings in it. I think the days of this design in Vegas are over. I really like all those designs, but I guess everything has it's time.

X Y buildings =
MGM Grand
Bellagio
Monte Carlo
TI
Venetian
Mirage
Paris
Mandalay Bay

Did I miss any?

X Y Building?.... O, I get what your saying. No, I think the Large center hotel building (Aria) is like 3 arks crossing each other. I dont know how to explain it. I was watching Military Channel one night and a new episode of build it bigger came on and it was over this and Danny explained the architects layout of the building.

It is just different way of arranging this complex. It is not that the X or Y design is bad it is just that in this case they have more than one building with almost equal height and status and with X or Y design - you should have one main building and the rest plays significantly smaller role. Otherwise this design doesn't show all it's advantages. X and Y are open to the street - sort of welcoming / embracing you and in the same time creating a sense of largeness and mightiness. City center creates different approach - that of density which don't need any particular shape.

The only 'L's I see are The Hotel at Mandalay Bay, and Excalibur.

All the newest buildings are arcs or plain cubes.
Wynn - arc
Encore - arc
Fontainebleu - arc
Aria - arc
Vdara - arc
Trump - cube

Thanks!

I just looked at this website... Las Vegas Plaza will have interesting shapes than compared to many resorts in Las Vegas. That website discuss all upcoming Las Vegas projects.
