I'd prefer it to be swanky and upscale like it was before the mega themed resorts, but just as big and flashy as it is now. Basically City Center is the manifestation of that.

Does anyone think Las Vegas will ever build out?

What do you mean? Have the Strip become longer? The only way I see that happening is if they start stretching it north towards downtown. Then you would have both of them combine, I guess? Nothing south of the "Welcome sign" to Vegas though will be built probably though.

Does anyone think that something should be built across the street from Mandalay Bay and Luxor? Those little hotel shacks always irritate me, just sitting there in front of these mega resorts. I know there's the airport on the border.. but maybe it's possible? Like build some 5 story glass buildings full of shops? It's not the best location, but in Vegas anything is possible.

I think because the luxor is a very iconic hotel in vegas and they wouldnt want to block out the Luxor view from the airport with another massive bookslab, so that might be a reason in terms of development planning.

Good point. Luxor and Mandalay Bay always are one of the first hotels people see when the plane is heading to the gate.

That could change if they relocate the airport. I recall a while ago that City of Las Vegas is planning to relocate the airport little far away from The Strip.

No way!? That's kind of cool actually. Although.. I don't see the economic logic in that. For example, didn't they just recently build that giant new rental car center? It looked brand new to me when I was there in July. And in the past a few years ago, all the car rentals were separate and in those little company's buildings of theirs on a street located near the airport. So I mean they've modernized various aspects of the airport.. and now they'll move it? This seems crazy, even for Las Vegas.

Plus.. I kinda like how the Boeing 737-200's that fly to Area-51 just sort of hang out there right next to the strip. Man I love Las Vegas.

There are not going to relocate the airport, just build a new one in Ivanpah... About 15-20 miles south down I-15... It will be more for International and Cargo flights...

I think it is silly to have two international airports in one city. I don't see how it will work with some airlines. Oh yeah I hope this new airport will not have too many casino slots like other airport in LV. It is annoying and taking up too much of spaces and it is hard to flow though the airport with too many slots.

If it's a reliever airport for McCarren then it's all good. They should send cargo, private jets, and small domestic flights to the new airport if they build it. Judging by the traffic at arrivals/departures, Vegas really could use an extra airport.

OR an even better solution. Use Groom Lake (aka Area-51) 90 miles up north as a reliever. You can even have international flights, since the runway is the longest in the world. :P

I hope they will just move to new airport so Las Vegas can build taller and bigger buildings. I would love to see future world's tallest building to get built in Las Vegas someday.

The views from the top of Trump must be spectacular! The views from Bellagio used to be great, now City Center is in the way. Progress.

I just can't wait for all the new towers to be lit up at night. Driving though the strip at night will be even more spectacular than it is already.
