There will be 16,595 square feet of water features, (50% less than permitted) including water flows on large walls and fountains with slow moving colorful fans.

The earlier renderings looked like a monorail track, but the latest renderings look like tram tracks.

Somebody just told me that there were two fatalities and some injuries in an accident on the site today, but I haven't heard the news yet.

Channel 8 says that a 3,000 pound wall collapsed pinning four workers under it, killing two of them.

Construction is very hazardous, but the accidents rarely make national news, so you won't hear about it in other areas unless you follow the news there very closely. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, private construction has the most fatal accidents of any industry with 1,186 deaths of the 5,702 work related deaths in all industries recorded in 2005 in the U.S.

Agriculture, transportation and mining have higher percentages of fatal accidents than construction.

I can name one near me. Last month someone died on a construction site during the current development of a shopping centre. I think something fell on him. Also there were afew deaths caused by the same type of thing on apartments in the City Centre.

The complex looks magnificent! I haven't been to Vegas in about 6 years, it must look very different now! Last time I went Mandalay Bay was still relatively new!
