There is a development to build 10-15 high-rises between 120-300m in that area near these towers (Operacion Chamartin), but it needs to get the approval

Although in the pictures they look lonely, it´s not exactly like that.

These towers are in the north extreme of the Paseo de la Castellana, the biggest street in Madrid. Along this long avenue there are very high buildings, growing graduately from South to North, where these four "jwels" are. So the impression you get is actually this: a big long avenue which has bigger and more modern buildings when you run through it from South to North. So the efect is of something "planned" and armonious. Anyway I would like to have many more skyscrapers in some years with Operación Chamartín, of course.Let´s pray...

Operación Chamartín

http://www.elmundo.es/elmundo/2006/1...165250303.html

It's in spanish, but it says that there is a new meeting in 3 days between the 3 parts (national government, city council and regional government) and, maybe, they approve the operation. What's the problem? The money, of course

that was probably coz madrid is very big and close..

you can only see these buildings if you are in the area or on the top of a higher building..
