I doesn't mean one tower, I meant one thing. Now these towers stay alone in this part of city, I think that when I watch photos. Maybe I'm wrong.

Sure, but the bad thing is Operacion Chamartin was planned for 90's, then delayed to 00's and i dont think it will be a reality until 10 years or so. And yes, the four towers look a little lone when you see the city from afar today.

It is in Madrid, in the Chamartin District in the north of the city.

I was in Madrid a week ago and I took some pics next to the Cuatro Torres Business Area.
They realy impressed me when I was there! I knew when i walked there when there were only holes in the ground!

Let's go with the pics:

It used to be a suburb area some decades ago, but there are new residential areas north of this place (Las Tablas, San Chinarro ...). The fact is that Op. Chamartín consits on building over the area of Chamartín train station (which is placed north of the city) and over a public buses parking. That's why it looks so desertic

I don't understand yet, why there are so many problems with the evolution of Op Chamartin?

Anyway great development, thank you for the pics.

Those problems are due to burocracy. There are differente administration envolved in this operation and they are ruled by different political parties. Let's say that the Goverment of Kingdom of Spain is ruled by the Socialist Party, and both of Madrid - City Council and Regional Goverment - are ruled by the Popular Party...

And everyone wants to eat their piece of the cake You know what happens when we talk about money

Apart from the political problems, there are others related with people that don't like highrises, doubts about the demand of so many office buildings, risk if there is a crisis in the construction sector...

Remember we are talking about more than ten skyscrapers, some of them really high. Madrid is not Dubai to carry out these projects so fast.

These towers are so beautiful, I can't wait to see them finished and lit up at night. I love Madrid such a cool city, would love to live there one day.

That's what I think of London when I go there, the most cosmopolitan city in Europe IMO. Anyway, I'll invite you for a drink when you'll be here if a traffic allows it
