Thank you all for these amazing pictures! I've been watching this project strictly for 3 long years and it's almost complete!

Hopefully as the post above says, Madrid will have a few more highrises in this area, so that the buildings look more organic and suited to their habitat!

The towers look great though!

One of three best skyscrapers complexes in Europe now, with La Defense and Moscow City.

Impressive pictures...

The sunset is beautiful. I love the reflections in the glass towers.

In the last photos we see the Chamartin Station. When Operation Chamartín is approved, the station will be hidden and more towers will be built in this area.

Like.... never? After over a decade of being on hold, its eventual approval got finally scheduled... on the session's agenda for the March 11th, 2004 city council meeting. Obviously, because of a tragic historical coincidence, it couldn't get approved precisely that day, and the political change at the national government that shortly followed, stalled the prickly negotiations indefinitely, there being no sign whatever currently that things will have a chance of getting going again anytime soon. Too many competing particular economic interests (there is an as-of-yet unsettled issue with the previous estate owners) combined with the unsurmountable Aznar/Rajoy's PP vs. Zapatero's PSOE political feud (which has only worsened ever after the 2004 elections because of the PP's inability to come to terms with its unexpected removal from government). The personal pique between regional president Esperanza Aguirre and city mayor Alberto Ruiz Gallardón doesn't help things either (both are PP politicians, but their mutual personal dislike, and in fact the general dislike of Gallardón among many PP adherents, the more radical and backwards-minded of whom even think of him as a "traitor", is everybody's knowledge). So it doesn't seem likely of getting approved at least until the governments at the national, regional and city level become politically "aligned" again (which is not very probable before the 2012 national elections). Better forget about it. The neverending-story Operación Chamartín development project currently looks dead as... dead. Whatever eventually gets built, if something actually gets another chance of being approved there during our lifetimes, is likely to have morphed from what we currently think of Operación Chamartín beyond recognition by then, anyway. Another Álvarez del Manzano-like anti-skyscrapers mayor could actually have taken office by then and the whole thing get reduced to four-storey monotonous residential blocks and horizontal business complexes.

The geopolitical circumstances change. We can not compare the situation of 90 with now. The need to broaden the financial center of the city is becoming bigger and this causes pressure on the parties to close the negotiation. The landowners will receive 300 million euros.

Every day the interest is growing. Now, BBVA...

Amazing pix, thank you guys.

As to Operación Chamartín, it may happen. But of course no one knows right now for sure.

Does anyone know if there is to be luxury apartments available in any of these?

I can only imagine what a grand affair it will be for the opening!

Felice Anno Nuovo everyone!

Sacyr-Vallehermoso tower will have a 5* hotel, but I think that none of the towers will have luxury apartments.

4 nice designs, but these 4 towers with the same height standing alone look totally out of place. The area needs at least 10 more higher and lower buildings to make the area look impressive in stead of silly.
