las torres son preciosas, pero esos bloques estilo franquista, dios k horror! xd
es difícil, pero el ayuntamiento de Madrid se debería plantear derribarlos y crear una zona de negocios tipo la Defénse alrededor de las torres.

It'd be really difficult to get rid of all those ugly buildings to get a complete financial area, full of skyscrapers and all that. Getting all the rights to build anything takes quite a long time, so I bet being allowed to pull them down would take even more effort and time.

Those four towers are great to start with, then I'm sure more projects will follow on! The next thing to be built around the area will be the Congress Centre, the circle-shaped building, being 120m. tall.

Wapo, you´re forgetting the new Ciudad de la Justicia (City of Justice), which is an important one.

Here we have some examples of the 18 round buildings that compose this project. Some architects participating. Foster, Rodgers, Zaera Polo, Pei, Zaha, etc.

More renders of the round buildings of the Coty of Justice:

Emporis.com has recently revised Torre Espacios height from 236m to 224m, have they made a mistake?

I think Sacyr-Vallehermoso Tower is the shorter of the group, I don't believe on emporis heights, on this Danny's photo Torre Espacio it looks taller than Sacyr, And Torre Cristal is Taller than Repsol.

Today I send to the four Architect's offices involved, a request of information to verify the correct heights, I hope soon they clarify the doubt.

They're all spread out through the whole of Madrid, although they're going to try and build a complete financial area around those four towers. That will take some time, though...

But yes, some kilometres away heading south through Paseo de la Castellana, in front of the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, you can find one of the biggest financial areas in Madrid, AZCA.

It'd be cool to open a thread containing pictures of this area, if anyone would like to do that

Pictures really are not the best way to compare buildings...

in this picture is exactly the oposite:

P.S.
I also belive Espacio is 224 m

potipoti 'for me it's the same, they are built and that's the most important thing'

- Indeed and an excellent addition to Madrid, you should be proud.
