And I thought the cladding was beautiful without being cleaned...

It's the 2 layers of glass. They designed and built this very well.

Now I don't have a PhD in physics but I'm pretty sure the outer cladding is responsible for the visible reflections

^ Awesome shots from CITIC Plaza! So many people, even children on top, is it accessible?!

I have no idea actually, i actually wish it is legally accessible, it has one of the best views of lujiazui, where the three giants can be seen individually.

It seems those people are walking on the rail for window washer though.

It's the rail for window washer indeed, but so many people, even children are walking there.

Great shots.

Lucky family of a window washer?
Or lucky window washer with a sightseeing business on the side..

I hate that the Jin Mao is lost in most pics. It's my favorite of the three.

(And "yes" I know that I don't have any taste: I'm a sucker for Taipei 101 + Petronas as well)

everyone likes Petronas and Jin Mao pretty much, only Taipei 101 is mostly disliked i feel. i never was a fan of Taipei 101 either until i wrote a 10 page paper about it, afterwards i just loved it with all its details, you never really think about.

I agree on this. Without a doubt this is the most impressive trio in the world, but in my opinion it would be better if some distance was kept between those super three, so each building can shine in it's own glory.

Imagine an Empire state building with WTC 1 & 2 right next to it, or the Bank of China Tower in Hong kong with ICC and IFC right next to it, that would be a shame right? So it is in Shanghai...

Amazing cluster. Even the lesser towers in the first pics look very good.
