I noticed that a couple of people had mentioned something about the openings in the cladding but as I recall that one big slot is supposed to be there as part of the design. I'm just wondering what it's going to look like when that portion of the building is completed. Right now you can see through that slot and see the inner girders behind it. Does anyone know if they're going to cover that interior area with something to make it look like it's really completed?

Crown cladding

Building looks great. My only concern is the cladding at the very top. Since there is no inner curtain wall it appears very transparent and does not match the test of the structure. I think it would look better if there was something behind the cladding to make it look less transparent and more solid.

I'm glad they used the current design for the ST - see some of the early renders in that photo link. The current ST is the best of those.

Doesn't look like an inner skin to me. I can only see supports for the outer structure.

Maybe just for lightning. I don't think it's used as a capsule like the one in guangzhou

I totally agree, I assume they will put some LED panels there later for the lighting effect in the evening, which might make it look less transparent during the daytime?

They still need to put some horizontal metal cladding strips inside the crown that will make it look less transparent

it was actually a new crane going in. I assume it will be used to dismantle the other cranes.

... and just think, they could have put a 100-200m spire on it.

Cant wait to see both interior and exterior mix when lit up.
